Front Nine (Out)

Hole 1 — Heasleys · Par 4 · S.I. 13

Tee Dist (m) 6°C 13°C 20°C 27°C
Blue 335 3w 3w 3w 3w
White 331 3w 3w 3w 3w
Yellow 303 Dr Dr Dr Dr

3-wood off Blue/White, driver off the forward Yellow. The right fairway bunker (~180 m) sits near your driver carry off the back tees, so lay to 3-wood and take the short wedge; off Yellow the carry is easy, so driver. Only fairway trouble, and on your safe side — your hook miss is left with no left bunker to punish it. The deep trap short-left of the green is the one to respect; left pin → aim slightly right and let the slope work.

Hole 2 — The Pines · Par 3 · S.I. 15

Tee Dist (m) 6°C 13°C 20°C 27°C
Blue 155 5i 5i 6i 6i
White 131 7i 8i 8i 8i
Yellow 130 7i 8i 8i 8i

Triangle green, bunker short-right. The usual right-to-left wind pushes anything left off the green. Big flat area at the back is the bail-out, but leaves an awkward putt to a front pin.

Hole 3 — Stop Bank · Par 5 · S.I. 9

Tee Dist (m) 6°C 13°C 20°C 27°C
Blue 465 4i 4i 4i 4i
White 445 4i 4i 4i 4i
Yellow 428 4i 4i 4i 4i

Floodbank OB faces the tee and it's too penal to risk — play a controlled 4-iron (not 100%), never driver. From there it's a standard 3-shot hole. Bunker 40 m short-left, back bunker punishes a long miss. Green feeds right; putts break toward the river.

Hole 4 — Clochmerle · Par 4 · S.I. 1

Tee Dist (m) 6°C 13°C 20°C 27°C
Blue 390 Dr Dr Dr Dr
White 350 Dr Dr Dr Dr
Yellow 334 Dr Dr Dr Dr

Hardest hole on the card. Aim at the right edge of the fairway bunker — long hitters carry it, short hitters lay up, mid-length beware. Green falls away both sides; aim for the high side of the pin. Bunker front-right.

Hole 5 — The Ridge · Par 4 · S.I. 5

Tee Dist (m) 6°C 13°C 20°C 27°C
Blue 360 Dr Dr Dr Dr
White 339 Dr/3w Dr/3w Dr/3w Dr/3w
Yellow 301 3w 3w 3w 3w

Plenty of room off the tee, a touch right is fine. Reaching the rise = a big drive. Large round green, easy to miss left in a crosswind; long leaves a tough chip back.

Hole 6 — Wally's Dip · Par 4 · S.I. 17

Tee Dist (m) 6°C 13°C 20°C 27°C
Blue 307 Hyb Hyb Hyb Hyb
White 301 Hyb Hyb Hyb Hyb
Yellow 302 Hyb Hyb Hyb Hyb

Not drivable for most; a long drive left can block you out. Smart play is less than driver to set up the wedge. No green bunkers, but watch the subtle run-offs around the edges.

Hole 7 — Billabong · Par 3 · S.I. 11

Tee Dist (m) 6°C 13°C 20°C 27°C
Blue 187 Hyb Hyb Hyb Hyb
White 165 4i 4i 5i 5i
Yellow 151 5i 6i 6i 6i

Shallow swale across the front — low runners may not get up, so fly it. Big bunker left; if the pin's behind it, aim right and take the two-putt par. Green holds a high approach well.

Hole 8 — Straight Eight · Par 5 · S.I. 7

Tee Dist (m) 6°C 13°C 20°C 27°C
Blue 502 Dr/3w Dr/3w Dr/3w Dr/3w
White 447 Dr/3w Dr/3w Dr/3w Dr/3w
Yellow 419 Dr/3w Dr/3w Dr/3w Dr/3w

Dead straight. OB runs the full right side, so favour the left and play away from it — driver when you trust it, 3-wood when you don't. Big trees guard the left halfway down. Finishes on the biggest, flattest green on the course — no bunkers. Closest point to Orana Park.

Hole 9 — Lion's Roar · Par 4 · S.I. 3

Tee Dist (m) 6°C 13°C 20°C 27°C
Blue 369 3w 3w 3w 3w
White 334 3w 3w 3w 3w
Yellow 311 4i 4i 4i 4i

Tough close to the front nine. OB right is set wide, but pulling it left finds a fairway bunker then trees that block the approach. Green defended both sides. Middle of the fairway + a precise second is the only par route.

Back Nine (In)

Hole 10 — Mountain View · Par 4 · S.I. 14

Tee Dist (m) 6°C 13°C 20°C 27°C
Blue 317 Dr Dr Dr Dr
White 315 3w 3w 3w 3w
Yellow 301 Hyb Hyb Hyb Hyb

Driver off Blue, 3-wood off White, hybrid off Yellow — the shorter the tee, the less you need, to leave a full wedge. No fairway bunker; your hook miss is the only watch (long-left is dead). A drive sliding right flirts with the silver birches but that's your safe side. Don't miss pin-high right — the gully there is a hard up-and-down.

Hole 11 — Beeches · Par 3 · S.I. 16

Tee Dist (m) 6°C 13°C 20°C 27°C
Blue 130 7i 8i 8i 8i
White 124 8i 8i 9i 9i
Yellow 126 8i 8i 8i 9i

Short — a popular birdie chance — but a subtle false front and a tricky wind. Bunker left, wide shallow one right. On the green, trust the read: putts break less than they look.

Hole 12 — Windy · Par 5 · S.I. 10

Tee Dist (m) 6°C 13°C 20°C 27°C
Blue 490 Dr Dr Dr Dr
White 445 Dr Dr Dr Dr
Yellow 397 Dr Dr Dr Dr

Reachable par 5 for big hitters (plays par 4 off Yellow). Eucalyptus frames the right of the driving zone — aim up the left to cut the corner. Bunkers both sides short; long-right is a tough up-and-down. Front pin is the friendliest.

Hole 13 — Pumphouse · Par 4 · S.I. 4

Tee Dist (m) 6°C 13°C 20°C 27°C
Blue 386 Hyb Hyb Hyb Hyb
White 340 Hyb Hyb Hyb Hyb
Yellow 327 Hyb Hyb Hyb Hyb

Driving hole. A straight drive runs through the dogleg into trees — a controlled fade starting left of the lone pine is the shot. No bunkers, but a wide two-tier green; with a low pin, use the slope to feed it close.

Hole 14 — One Tree Hill · Par 4 · S.I. 2

Tee Dist (m) 6°C 13°C 20°C 27°C
Blue 404 Dr Dr Dr Dr
White 350 Dr Dr Dr Dr
Yellow 337 Dr Dr Dr Dr

Driver — a HOOK driver, started right and turned around the dogleg left (sharper than it looks). The famous cabbage tree sits 80 m out — shape the hook around it. A miss right brings trees in; over-cook it and you're through the corner. Toughest on the back. Hidden bunker long-right.

Hole 15 — The Bend · Par 4 · S.I. 6

Tee Dist (m) 6°C 13°C 20°C 27°C
Blue 376 Dr Dr Dr Dr
White 346 3w 3w 3w 3w
Yellow 307 4i 4i 4i 4i

Demanding tee shot — a soft fade is ideal; straight risks the big eucalyptus and overhanging branches snag a right drift. Large flat round green, but a deep bunker short-right; long clubs can run through.

Hole 16 — Waimak · Par 4 · S.I. 8

Tee Dist (m) 6°C 13°C 20°C 27°C
Blue 361 Dr Dr Dr Dr
White 326 Dr Dr Dr Dr
Yellow 298 Dr Dr Dr Dr

Driver with your soft draw — between the pines and over the crest sets you up; no fairway bunker to carry. Watch over-cooking the draw into the left pines. Two-tier green is wide but deceptively shallow; long is trouble. Hidden bunker left — with that pin, aim right and feed it in.

Hole 17 — Hustler · Par 3 · S.I. 12

Tee Dist (m) 6°C 13°C 20°C 27°C
Blue 153 5i 5i 6i 6i
White 142 6i 7i 7i 7i
Yellow 131 7i 8i 8i 8i

Wind makes it play longer than the card — take enough club. Short-right is a tricky rough gully. The lone bunker isn't too menacing; beware fast downhill putts, especially front-left.

Hole 18 — Cabbage Tree · Par 5 · S.I. 18

Tee Dist (m) 6°C 13°C 20°C 27°C
Blue 462 Dr Dr Dr Dr
White 440 Dr/3w Dr/3w Dr/3w Dr/3w
Yellow 409 Dr Dr Dr Dr

A hard finish despite the S.I. Cabbage tree centre-right ~210 m demands a precise drive — miss left = blocked, miss right = trouble. Green reachable, slopes back-to-front. Front-left bunker is fine; the right bunker sits 40 m short and deceives. Long = OB. A par is well-earned.
